Ladies, it is important to know our hormones! As we go through the different stages of our lives, we deal with many changes, either through puberty, fertility, menopause or hormonal imbalances.

Your hormonal imbalances may be caused by many different reasons; however, a common underlying cause may be Hashimotos disease, with or without diagnosis.

Possible symptoms you may experience with hormones in relation to Hashimotos Disease:

  • Fatigue
  • Mild weight gain
  • Heavy and irregular menses
  • Infertility or miscarriage
  • Decreased libido
  • Difficulty concentrating or thinking

The thyroid acts as the communication center for all hormones, therefore allowing the hormones to interact between the brain, adrenal glands and ovaries. If you are diagnosed with Hashimotos Disease, this will mean there is a damaged communication causing the relationship between sex hormones, stress hormones, brain neurotransmitters and energy metabolism to collapse. Low thyroid may also lead to estrogen overload due to the lack of processing from the liver.

Symptoms of excess estrogen-driven by Hashimoto’s disease with or without diagnosis:

  • Weight gain
  • Heavy periods
  • Breast tenderness
  • Sugar cravings
  • Poor concentration
  • Mood swings
  • PMS
  • Infertility

Lab Markers to possible diagnosis of Hashimoto’s disease:

It is important to get a full thyroid panel checked, however one marker that we look at in particular is RT3. Reverse T3 is an inactive form of thyroid hormones that may inhibit T3 and disallow T3 to perform. Another marker we take a look at is TPO. Thyroid Peroxidase plays an important part in the production of thyroid hormones.

Our clinic’s bioscanners detect the interstitial imbalances in your key thyroid electro markers, hence hormone imbalances! We provide a much more in-depth look into your root causes.
